The in-house forwarder for the Kobelco Group, Kobelco Logistics handles global logistics and is actively working to expand overseas into growth markets. In Shanghai, China and Chennai, India, areas of particular focus for the Kobelco Group, we have established local subsidiaries.
Boasting a global transport track record that encompasses China, India, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asian nations, we currently handle regular exports of steel and other such resources bound for Vietnam, Thailand, China, and South America. We are able to tap our deep well of expertise to select transport approaches optimally tuned to the particular characteristics of the products being moved. In addition, we provide comprehensive logistics solutions centered on integrated operations, which can extend from arranging warehousing to organizing appropriate combinations of modes of transport encompassing marine, air, and inland shipping. We are a member of the World Cargo Alliance (WCA) and The Heavy Lift Group (THLG) and are expanding the breadth of locations in which we are active.
The cargo we transport is primarily machinery or machinery-related and includes steel products as well as machinery and equipment for construction, plant, industrial, and precision applications. We provide proposals that are optimized in terms of efficiency and cost, basing our plans on detailed analyses of local laws and regulations, traffic, geography, and climate.
As an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) at the Port of Kobe, we utilize systems that allow cargo being imported or exported to quickly and properly pass through customs without the delay of storage in a bonded warehouse.
